Clayton Murdach

bio

Clayton Murdach was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. He received his Bachelor Degree of Art at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA and has continued to live and work in the area—moving to Joyce, WA so he can be closer to the Pacific Ocean and surf! His art has been shown in Seattle and Tacoma and this is his first exhibition in Los Angeles. Among his influences in art Clay counts Robert Rauschenberg, Diane Arbus, Kurt Schwitters, Marcel Duchamp, Ansel Kieffer and Francis Bacon.

Clay is also a musician and has recorded many albums with bands such as The Artichoke Project and Bugalou Orchestra. Most recently he finished recording an album with Jonathan Seagel of Camper Van Beethoven.
